     Alice Melissa Brown was born on 23 Mar 1854 in Wisconsin.1,2 She married Jacob Westphalen say 1875 in Wisconsin.1,3 She was living in Webster, Dodge County, Nebraska, in 1888 when she provided an affidavit for her sister Cordelia's pension application.4 Alice Melissa died in North Bend, Dodge County, Nebraska, on 24 Oct 1937 at 83.1 She was buried in Summit Grove Cemetery, North Bend, Dodge County, Nebraska.1
